Programs and Events
Our Calendar of Events is filled with walks, workshops, discussion groups, traveling exhibits and other activities to enjoy. The Nature Center participates in the annual Environmental Film Festival and periodically offers eco-travelogues and lectures. Workshops like Not A Lot of Plot help participants learn more about sustainable “backyard” agriculture. Paddle Day brings paddle sports enthusiasts together with experts and eco-tourists to plot and dream. Explore the calendar for other interesting activities. more details
Living Simply
From time to time, the Nature Center offers single and multi-session programs focused on living a more simple life. As an affiliate of Northwest Earth Institute, we offer sustainability discussion courses to explore our attitudes, actions and values and their impact on the earth and on others around us. Past topics have included Menu for the Future, Voluntary Simplicity and Choices for Sustainable Living. Watch for our next simplicity discussion group on the calendar.
Music
The birds and frogs aren’t the only beings supplying music in and around the Nature Center! Whether your musical tastes lean towards cool jazz, foot-stompin’ hoedown or somewhere inbetween, our Music in the Loft and Creekside Concerts harmonize beautifully with Mother Nature. Watch the calendar for these fun music events!
