Creekside Shop
The Creekside Shop is located within the Nature Center barn. It is open six days a week for your shopping convenience. Regular hours are:

The Creekside Shop offers a variety of field guides and nature books. Book topics range from prairie restoration to birding. Also featured are t-shirts, bird feeders, bird seed, note cards,
Honey bears are in abundant supply in the Creekside Shop. The honey was collected from hives located at the Nature Center. The Shop also stocks larger jars of honey, as well as honeycomb and Burt's Bees products.

Plant Me A Garden Soaps
Enjoy the fragrance of handmade soaps by Cheryl Russell of Mount Vernon for only $4. Some of the available scents are: Vera, B'limey, Cucumber Melon, as well as Gardener's Friend.
Light of the Heartland Soy Candle
These candles are made of genuine soy and hand poured in Cedar Rapids. Signature scents include: Spiced Apple, Lemongrass, Camu Camu, Cinnamon, and Green Apple.
Socks to Trek, Hike or Walk In!
Socks are 100% Iowa-grown wool, processed by hand and no harsh chemicals. They are knitted on an antique knitting machine; toes are closed by hand with a weaving stitch - no ridge! Hand wash with mild soap and dry flat! Socks sell for $15/pair.
Eco Lips, Inc.
Ecolips' lip balms are made with nutrient rich organic ingredients in Cedar Rapids. Styles include: Gold, vegan bee free, hemp, medicinal, sport, mint and berry.
Lip balms sell for $3.50.
  
KIDS' CORNER
The Kids' Corner features t-shirts, Canned Critters, puzzles, finger puppets, games and more! Small toy frogs, insects, turtles, lizards, butterflies and snakes are also for sale with prices ranging from 50 cents to $1.50. We also have a great supply of children's books.
MAPLE SYRUPING SUPPLIES
Spiles are available for tapping maple trees in late winter for $3.00/each. Making Maple Syrup is a beginner's guide on how to make maple syrup at home and sells for $3.95.
HOLIDAY GIFT IDEAS
Christmas baskets are available in late fall & early winter. They vary in size and price and may contain:
- Prairie Honey from Indian Creek Nature Center
- Pure Maple Syrup, one 8 ounce bottle
- Amana Red Raspberry or Blueberry Preserves, one 10 ounce jar
- Amana Pancake Mix, one 2-lb bag
Two kits that make nice gifts and are suitable for ages 8 and up are the Hanging Bird Feeder House Kit and Bluebird House Kit. All supplies are included to construct the house. They sell for $18/kit.
