| As of January 2005 the Nature Center acquired the Bena Homestead. Your help is needed!! In July 2004 the Board of Directors approved the purchase of the Bena Homestead to help meet the growing needs of the Nature Center and the community. To buy the land and upgrade the structures, ICNC needs to raise $190,500. An additional $309,500 endowment goal has been added for long-term property management. At a 4% yield this will cover annual insurance, maintenance and taxes. The total fundraising goal is $500,000. How To Give: Your gift of cash or appreciated assets will help make this project possible. For taxpayers who itemize deductions, these gifts are fully tax-deductible. Your contribution will be used to pay toward the Bena Homestead and endow property care. Additional contributions beyond the $500,000 goal will be used to support overall Nature Center operations.
